Re: Dear ViewSonic: Please Add 60 Hz Single-Strobe for PureXP on XG270
Is the new firmware already available? I downloaded the elite display Controller but there is no option to update the firmware.

Good post, the image quality improvement is so obvious... 60FPS locked games, 50/60p fast motion streamings, hope Viewsonic read this Topic and do not cap the XG270 strobe capabilities. Optional activation, so non sense cap it, there are people waiting this feature to buy this monitor, limit strobe = limit sales !!
Re: Dear ViewSonic: Please Add 60 Hz Single-Strobe for PureXP on XG270
Hi there Chief and all Blurbuster readers, im completely new here and i recent discovered ULMB..
Sory for this short story but i have an urge to write it here.
By accident i discovered ULMB after i installed a new Geforce driver and i forgot to enable Gsync on my monitor plus i set the refreshrate on 85hz by my pure stupidity...
I saw the button ULMB and thought let me press it and see what happens in a game ... and thats when it happened...
PURE MAGIC.. i couldnt believe my eyes so beautiful.
ULMB effect in its full glory, never was i so happy to see and play a game so clear and fluid.( well at least when you can get 85, 100 or 120 fps at MINIMUM ).
I started to read what i was experiencing and what i just discovered ( i felt like Columbus discovering America).
My understanding is that whenever i fall down 85fps@85 hz ( and the other 2 ) the game would stutter judder microstutter etc. Although i have a RTX2080Ti and play in 1080p there are many games and game situations where i cannot hold 85fps so even when a game drops even like 5 fps, the stuttering is very visible and im pretty sensitive for stutter and especially microstutter.
I dont like to dial down settings except for AntiAliasing but other than that i want to play games super fluid in Ultra Epic Elite Godlike Über settings.
I started to experiment more and more, reading all kind blurbusters forum posts, watching clips on youtube, learning as an enthousiast!
So i tried to see if 60 fps @120 ( through adaptive sync half refreshrate ) would give me the same ULMBmagic but alas it wasnt as i hoped it to be because of the double picture, i think its called crosstalk or double strobbed image ? Correct me if i am wrong.
Now im looking for a new monitor that is capable of Single strobe @60 fps so the double image isnt there anymore. It isnt possible for my monitor to do the 60fps/hz hack because ofmy older model Gsync monitor.AOC G2460GP
So thats how i came to this thread because i want a new monitor and i and im 99% sure Viewsonic will implement your request and then i will buy it without thinking.
60 fps with a clear picture and motion blurr free will add me a whole library of games i will play again but due to the 60fps motion never touched them because i was so obssesed with 120/144 hz.
This could be a whole new gaming revolution for me.

Re: Dear ViewSonic: Please Add 60 Hz Single-Strobe for PureXP on XG270
Repeat-strobes on the same refresh cycle isn't technically strobe crosstalk.
Strobe crosstalk is when you've got full framerate (fps=Hz) yet GtG pixel response is still overlapping more than 1 refresh cycle.
They can look similar, and they can combine to create even worse double-images, but requires totally different kinds of fixes (framerate increases versus GtG speedups)

Re: Dear ViewSonic: Please Add 60 Hz Single-Strobe for PureXP on XG270
thank you for explaining that. 60fps @120hz creates exactely the 1/2 ufo picture. I can reduce that a little with ULMB plus width or with some settings its still there and ..distracting..Chief Blur Buster wrote: ↑22 Apr 2020, 02:24Repeat-strobes on the same refresh cycle isn't technically strobe crosstalk.

So did you get any word from Viewsonic or a status update about that request ?
