Current highest ULMB refresh rate monitor?
Current highest ULMB refresh rate monitor?
I'm still using an Asus VG248QE at 120hz ULMB. Has there been any increase in refresh rate for ULMB monitors or is it still pretty much capped at 120-144ish? Thanks, didn't know where to look really or how to query my question to search for the answer.

Re: Current highest ULMB refresh rate monitor?
It's brand dependent.
Motion Blur Reduction
- LightBoost (by NVIDIA), limited
- ULMB – Ultra Low Motion Blur (by NVIDIA), limited
- PureXP – Pure Experience (by ViewSonic), uncapped
- DyAc – Dynamic Accuracy (by BenQ ZOWIE), uncapped
- ELMB – Extreme Low Motion Blur (by ASUS), uncapped
- VRB – Visual Response Boost (by Acer), unknown
- Aim Stabilizer – (by AORUS / Gigabyte Technology), unknown
Don't forget refresh rate headroom is good for strobe backlight modes. There is less strobe crosstalk for 120Hz strobing on 240Hz monitors, than 120Hz strobing on 144Hz monitor. Crosstalk usually gets worse the closer to reach max Hz, so you want to strobe at a lower Hz.
Also, LightBoost is poor colors, ULMB is better colors. Did you know I helped some vendors tune strobe backlights -- for example, the ViewSonic XG270 PureXP on the 240Hz 1ms IPS panel -- is a Blur Busters Approved monitor? Much, much, much better colors than old LightBoost, you're keeping more color range. See this thread!

It's my understanding you're on the original VG248QE, which is LightBoost and not ULMB.
You will get big color quality gains by switching.
