Benq XL2411P

Post by KNUTZ » 02 Mar 2020, 09:08

Hello,
I'm new to all this lightboost thing and I have some questions.
Firstly, is there anyway of still maintaning the 144Hz with any of the lightboost methods around for my monitor? I ve heard that u can but your screen will just be too dark.
Also, what is the best method to lightboost for my monitor? I see that there are many ways(some from nvidia such as ULMB but my monitor doesn't have G-sync)

Should i do it with this?
https://blurbusters.com/benq/strobe-utility/ (I see that his is for Z series and mine is XL2411P, which one should i use, I do have Blur reduction in my options, should i just use that and try just boosting the light other way or which is the method to use for this monitor?)

or with this ?

Also, I ve hear that the screen is very dark, the colors are bad and there might be some input lag added? Will that hurt me competitively?
I am a lv 10 faceit player and there any little input lag may matter, because even if you don't realize it you might have better reflexes with a slight difference in input lag.

So if there is input lag and i also lose the 24Hz, what other things do you recommend to do to my monitor? Or should I just leave it default for competitive play strictly?

PS: I've seen on this forum that I can overclock my Hz, do you recommend doing that ? And if i do that i won't be able to lightboost anyway no?

Also does anybody know if I have to play on FPS1 or FPS2, and if the other settings are making input lag? Because the colors are very washed out on that modes, and I've noticed that on Movie mode the colors are very good, does that mode cause any input lag? Or the standard mode?

Picture Modes shouldn't introduce additional input lag. Using Movie Mode myself.

I'd like to use the Standard mode as it has almost all the options available but it s weird that i'll get Black Equalizer blacked out if i do that, and it really looks weird without it, things are really dark. Also, a friend of mine that also has XL2411P told me he can use Black EQ with Standard mode, is it because he maybe has newer firmware version maybe?

For Standart mode, Gamma setting is enabled instead of Black Equalizer.
