Hello everyone, I have a few questions about all of the G-Sync + VSYNC (NVCP) and Nvidia low latency mode topic. Especially regarding Latency.
For reference I’ve read through:
G-SYNC 101: Optimal G-SYNC Settings & Conclusion
G-SYNC 101: Input Lag & Test Methodology
Preview of NVIDIA G-SYNC, Part #2 (Input Lag)
But feel free to redirect me to some posts since I might’ve misread something or forgot about it.
I am aiming for least Latency but would consider no screen tearing if it’s worth the increase in latency. I also saw that GSYNC introduces about 2ms of latency that’s mainly where my confusion comes from since for me it seems worth more having 2ms less latency than screen tearing. But to be fair I’ve always played like that and might not have experienced “true” smooth gameplay without screen tearing.
The different Scenarios I’m interested in are (165Hz refresh rate Monitor):
Apex Legends FPS capped 190fps
OW2/Valorant/AL/etc. High fps 500+
So my main Confusions/Questions about scenario low fps games (Apex):
Latency 190fps cap vs 163 with GSYNC + VSYNC (NVCP)
Low Latency mode Ultra vs On (NVCP vs Ingame)
Confusions/Questions about Scenario High fps games:
Latency 500fps+ vs 163 with GSYNC + VSYNC (NVCP)
Low Latency mode Ultra vs On (NVCP vs Ingame)
I am kinda new to all the Monitor Technologies and things so excuse me for some things that might be obvious to others.

You should read the latency tests here:

and then decide what you prefer.

Re: GSYNC and Latency questions
I'll give it a more throughout read then. Thanks!
