I made a mistake and it seems there are RGB sliders so I made a recalibration for 6500K kelvin white point. I'm posting all settings

Brightness 6 (for 40nt luminance)
Contrast 50
Gamma 2.2
Color temp - User - Red 46, Green 41, Blue 50
Here icc profile
https://www.dropbox.com/s/dnh6a9utn9alm ... K.icm?dl=0

This makes this monitor look almost exactly like my ips monitor.
Also I should note that "Unparking CPU cores" and "disabling Hyper Threading" solved my microstutter problem for gsync (these are game related though).
I hope this helps

Thanks for that profile, much better picture quality than i could manager adjusting with my eyes.. and as you said much closer to an ips panel and does make me believe it is an 8 bit panel, i wondered if it was mis sold as 8 bit but not anymore.

Thanks

I'm sorry for my ignorance but could you tell me what's the value of contrast achieved? Also did you made some tests about input lag?

Thank you so much for sharing this data!

Hello there guys,

I have been following this thread for a while now and I have a few questions :)

So I have been looking for a monitor to replace my current one which has a fault, I have so far purchased 4 different type of monitors and I had issues with all of them.

What I like to know about this monitor is:

1. How are the black levels?, like if your in a dark cave in skyrim do you notice extremely poor blacks or are they reasonable?
2. How are the colours?, most high refresh rate TN screens I tried had very poor and washed out colours even with the correct 0-255 RGB signal.
3. Is there much backlight bleed / clouding which is noticeable?
4. Dose text or windows applications look stretched and not very sharp on a 27 inch 1080p screen?

I am very grateful for any feedback you can provide as I am seriously considering getting this monitor.

Thank you

Acer XB270HA has been reviewed on prad recently and they gave him only satisfactory rating.. Seems we still currently don't have good rated gsync/freesync monitor (rog swift is confirmed bugged).
Interesting Eizo FG2421 is also only satisfactory there but LG 24GM77 and Benq XL2430T are very good (highest possible rating).
Well I'm waiting for Benq or LG with freesync/gsync than in "only" fhd resolution, hopefully freesync will normalize prices.
To be honest I'm also even more waiting for re-edition of Eizo VA monitor but with better input lag and/or good usability for graphics work (photoshop etc.)

Scan.co.uk Currently has a good deal on this monitor Acer XB270HA and after fair amount of research I'm still not sure whether I should buy it or not. I play a lot of Skyrim and I really like to know how washed out the colours are and if the black levels are any better then most high refresh rate screens.

Any feed back on this from some of the owners would be appreciated.
