I'm following the guide to optimal non-tearing frames (VSync + G-Sync + NVIDIA Reflex imposed framerate cap) and noticed differences in behavior depending on where I enable VSync.
When Vsync is set to on in control panel and off in-game there are frequent micro-stutters and the framerate generally does not vary from the NVIDIA Reflex default framerate cap (~20 less than max refresh rate).
When VSync is set to default in control panel and on in-game there are no micro-stutters but the framerate will vary from the cap by 1-3 FPS in both directions.
Does anyone know the difference between enabling VSync in control panel vs in-game for Valorant? Considering the micro-stutters I'd like to enable it in-game but am unsure why the experience is so different.

Re: Valorant VSync: In-Game vs Control Panel Difference
- If you use VSYNC override in CP, it sometimes overrides the setting in the game but sometimes some games use different timing logic for VSYNC vs non-VSYNC mode.
- Sometimes cap in CP is higher lag but more stutter-removing
- Sometimes cap in-game is lower lag but but can be more stutters
- Some people use both caps as a sort of prioritized failsafe (but use a slightly lower in-game cap than RTSS/NVCP cap).
