Personally I prefer Z271 cause it's 1080p therefore more fps, but it's curved, not so good for computer work.

Depends on your GPU. If you have at least a GTX 1070 or 980 Ti, 1440p is a good choice, especially with G-Sync (since with g-sync, FPS fluctuations are not a big issue anymore.)

Btw, the ViewSonic XG2703-GS is cheaper than the XB271HU and just as good (same panel.) I have one and it's pretty good PC Monitors and Tom's Hardware have reviews for it.

The ViewSonic was declared "Best 27" Monitor for Gaming" by IGN Not that it means much though, since, you know, it's IGN...

Why you would be getting an excellent contrast ratio and lower price for the Z271, I would opt for the XB271HU/XG2703-GS, if possible.

The Z271 is a VA panel, which has much slower G2G transitions. This results in less motion clarity over TN or IPS panels, and some of the darker transitions, especially on lighter backgrounds, can result in a purplish smearing effect.

I'm not sure if you're into strobing, but it is also important to note that the Z271 does not include ULMB. Also, while it won't make a massive difference, the Z261 has more input lag than the XB271HU panel (nearly 7ms vs. about 3ms).

Finally the other two models overclock to 165Hz, whereas the Z271's max refresh rate is 144Hz. Though this isn't terribly important either; I use my XB271HU in 144Hz mode, as I can tell little difference between the two in practice, and the 165Hz mode actually has worse/slower overdrive implementation on my panel.

Pretty full explanation, thank you! The problem is I don't want to bother about low fps, I hate low fps, and I don't want to upgrade at least 3 years. GTX 1080 is good for 1080p, it can handle 100+ fps on most titles. It's a really hard choice for me. There is no good enough high refresh rate 1080p non-TN G-Sync monitor.

GTX 1080 is very good at 1440p.

In my opinion, with G-SYNC, a GTX 1080 is overkill for 1080p. In fact, depending on your CPU, your 1080 is probably being underutilized in many games.

I have a i7-4770k and GTX 1080, and in all but the most demanding games, I'm averaging 80-100+ FPS. I own a lot of games, so if you're interested in knowing what kind of performance you'll be getting at 1440p in a certain game, I may be able to give you an idea.

Also, you can DSR to 1440p, and try your games on your current system to get an idea on what performance you would get. While 1440p has about 80% more pixels than 1080p, performance is usually only 25% more demanding with a good GPU.

Thank you for your help, guys! Weighed up all cons and pros, decided to buy Z271. Hope there will be no dead pixels and BLB will be acceptable for me.

I actually did have the Z271 for a short period of time before refunding it and getting a XB271HU

The Z271 has some weird flicker issue even at high fps
Maybe the one I got was worse than it should have been, but the image clarity is not even near the XB271HU and I would never chose it over the XB271HU, the XB271HU has so much better image quality and no flicker issue whatsoever
