Very little is posted about this ultrawide on blurbusters. Latency? Blur? Is it a bad monitor or do the other 1440 p monitors in standard format achieve less blur and more smoothness?

There doesn't seem to be much reviews, but what ever little reviews, seem to be relatively good similar to other similar ultrawides:

Amazon.com Customer Reviews: Dell Alienware AW3418DW Ultrawide

It's new, just hit the market a couple months ago. So it is not nearly as widespread as some other ultrawide monitors in the List of "Better Than 60Hz" Ultrawide Monitors, but just because it doesn't have many reviews, isn't necessarily indicative of a bad monitor -- just that it might not be as aggressively marketed as a competitor's ultrawide. Or too new in limited quantities. It was mainly sold on dell.com but now sold on Amazon too.

If curved ultrawide G-SYNC is what you're looking for -- a 100Hz 34" ultrawide G-SYNC IPS monitor overclockable to 120Hz. Just bear in mind of IPS quirks but a lot of people love IPS (better colors), and it's curved. It is not a favourite of eSports players (24" and 27" TN monitors rule the roost) but many casual players here love ultrawides for their immersion.

I found a Reddit thread where the owner couldn't enable ULMB :( Deal breaker right there.
