ASUS PG279Q not getting high fps on ufotest

Post by Rainsoda » 26 Feb 2018, 14:38

one of my friend has purchased a 144hz monitor and went to ufotest and found out that he wasn't getting above 60fps and asked me to check the site as well
I was on ufotest and my fps was locked to 60fps instead of upto 165 (also tested 144 and it was still 60)
meanwhile, one of the other friend who has 144hz monitor as well was getting 137 fps

we were trying to figure it out and and we couldn't figure out why it wasn't going higher

monitor itself has the gsync mode on and mine has the 165 mode active
nvidia control panel is set to 165
display settings is set to 165 as well
when im playing games, i am able to achieve the fps rate

here's my setup

Intel - Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
EVGA - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card
Asus - ROG SWIFT PG278Q 27.0" 2560x1440 144Hz Monitor
Asus - PB278Q 27.0" 2560x1440 60Hz Monitor
** both with displayport cables

am i missing something here or how could i achieve higher fps on the site?

thanks in advance!
