Will these settings affect my input lag

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

Will these settings affect my input lag

Post by Khysarth » 20 Dec 2018, 01:54

I was wondering what the optimal settings for these be or if these current settings would affect my performance negatively, (I'm using 1600x1080 instead of native cause it adds a nice look to fortnite)

As far as we know, GPU upscaling does not have an input lag penalty.

But if you use display scaling instead of GPU scaling, and your monitor actually does support 1600x1080 at the refresh rate you're playing (check the monitor's OSD while playing and having display scaling activated), then it's up to the monitor. Some monitors will scale without lag, others will add input lag.

Unfortunately, there's no data anywhere to see which monitors have input lag when upscaling and which don't.
