Gsync on xl2540

Postby Trip » 17 Jan 2019, 12:20

Hello people of the internet did anyone happen to get gsync to work on the xl2540? I can see the option in the nvidia menu and I can click it but the radio button does not seem to stick and I also dont get any notification on the monitor that it is enabled. I saw online that their appears to be a setting in the menu that shows you if freesync is enabled (system > information). But on my panel there is no notification there about freesync being enabled. In game I also still get tearing even if I limit the framerate in the engine below 240 fps (230 fps limit). Is there a trick to it by using for example nvidia inspector or is it a firmware issue with this panel? I also read on the amd page it supports it over hdmi. Does this mean freesync is not supported over displayport?

Reinstalled the driver while leaving my gsync display disconnected fixed the issue. Freesync/gsync is working now on xl2540. Hopefully it stays that way maybe something in the drivers doesnt like the two of them connected to the same computer.
