60fps @ 60hz vs 60fps @ 144hz GSYNC

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

60fps @ 60hz vs 60fps @ 144hz GSYNC

Hello, I've got a freesync (gsync compatible) 144hz monitor.
Recently I played some heavier games capped with RTSS to 60fps. I noticed that when panning camera with the pad, or running around in circles with the environment moving around me, games are not 100% smooth, I don't know how to describe it.
If I set the refresh rate to 60hz with a 60fps rtss cap, they appear smoother but, of course, increased input lag.
Is this a normal behaviour?

TLDR: 60fps @ 144hz GSYNC ON = very low input lag but camera pannings etc don't feel smooth like 60fps@60hz VSYNC ON

It's not normal. But I don't know what causes it. I've seen an AMD employee say that with freesync, FPS capping causes issues. The problem does not seem to exist with native g-sync monitors (at least for me.) Whether or not that's the actual issue here, I don't know. The only way to test it on your end would be to test with a native g-sync display, but since you don't have one, there's no way to know.

I got a friend with native gsync monitor, I will test this thing asap.

ps: I think I can describe the issue as very little hitches happening randomly, very hard to spot but I can feel them.
