Did i setup gsync correctly?

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

Did i setup gsync correctly?

Post by yungracks » 25 May 2019, 07:29

Hey, i got an acer predator xb241h, which i OC'd to 180hz.

Im wondering if i setup gsync right, my LED doesn't function:

I got gsync indicator on aswell, says gsync on.
I also capped Fortnite -3 (177fps) ingame.

I still lagg below 120 fps as stated in my other post, so i was wondering maybe i didn't setup gsync up well.

Check to see if you have a "Refresh rate num" option in your monitor's OSD and turn it on. A yellow number overlay should appear in the top right corner of your monitor.

Whenever G-SYNC isn't active, it will show a static "180" (Hz/FPS) readout at all times. Whenever G-SYNC is active, it will fluctuate continuously with the framerate, which will tell you whether G-SYNC is working.

The yellow meter shows G-SYNC adjusting the refresh rate to the framerate in real-time. If it is fluctuating, then G-SYNC is active.
