Some games feel not so smooth like the others?

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

Some games feel not so smooth like the others?

Post by ImBlueDabiDa » 27 May 2019, 22:06

Hi guys english is not my native language i hope i can explain my problem

My system is
Dell Alienware aw2518h [ Gsync ] 240hz
RTX 2070 msi
Ryzen 2700x
HDD 1Tb
SSD 500gb Samsung
SSD M.2 250gb Samsung evo
X470 Gaming plus mobo
16 Gigs Ram 3200mhz Gskill
700w +80 bronz FSP
logitech g402 mouse
logitech g710+ keyboard
logitech g633 headset

So my problem is some games feel really not smooth its like they stutter even with high fps
for example Rainbow Six Siege and overwatch works really well even if my fps drops there are no sign of stutter/freeze or lag like that

but in other games like Mordhau (avg. 100fps ), Leauge of Legend(avg 150fps), Killing Floor 2 (avg. 150fps)
in these games even if my fps drops like from 160 to 150 or something like that i can feel how it stutters
What could my problem?

ım using Gsync + Vsync on (in Nvidia control panel/off in games) + RTSS 237 fps limit

What i Tried

Pre-rendered frames set to 1
Reformat/fresh install windows 10
Re-seat Ram
Re-seat Video Card
Roll Back Drivers
Fresh install gpu drivers with DDU
Updated Bios
Updated all drivers
Re-seat CPU
Fixed all Registry errors using CCLEANER
checked temps gpu and cpu they max 70c

What can i do to fix this problem :(

Try setting the pre-rendered frames back to default (application controlled) for the games that stutter. Maybe it will help.

However, verify that g-sync is actually activated in those games. Enable the g-sync indicator in the nvidia driver:

When you run the game, a big "G-SYNC" logo should appear if g-sync is active.

Finally, some games need a lower FPS limit. If a game runs at 130FPS for example, then cap your FPS to 130, not 237.

I own this monitor and could say as OverWatch and CS:GO wannabeprogamer:
240Hz blurring crap
G-sync inputlag crap
144Hz, powersaving off, 720P, ULMB 10% and "Response Time SuperFast" rules

G-Sync and 240Hz good in Solo Games.
