Low Latency Ultra is no longer capping fps here in the newest 446.14 drivers (gsync + vsync on)

It doesn't seem to apply consistently to all games (for example, it never capped the fps for me in HALO MCC when I tried -> the game still does not run adequately after several game patches and driver updates, so I keep testing...) but it still works for me in general with the 450.99 developer preview driver.flaviowolff wrote: ↑30 May 2020, 00:13Low Latency Ultra is no longer capping fps here in the newest 446.14 drivers (gsync + vsync on)

I did a few things that I'm trying to investigate. I changed from GRD to Studio drivers 442.92. Have not installed the Windows 2004 update. I installed the monitor drivers.jorimt wrote: ↑02 Jun 2020, 20:21(I've moved your post to a more relevant thread)BTRY B 529th FA BN wrote: ↑02 Jun 2020, 15:25All of a sudden Vync On with G-Sync Compatible + Ultra isn't capped at 224fps with CS:GO
Did you recently install the latest Nvidia driver and/or the Windows 2004 update? Could be contributing factor.
The first thing I'd suggest then is to roll back to your previous graphics driver with a clean install via DDU, at least if the Ultra combo was working before that.BTRY B 529th FA BN wrote: ↑03 Jun 2020, 08:29I did a few things that I'm trying to investigate. I just took a look at this again and thought, since GSYNC is Adaptive-Sync technology, wouldn't Adaptive be a better option in this case?jorimt wrote: ↑07 Nov 2019, 18:06G-SYNC functions on a double buffer, so select in-game "Double Buffered" or force V-SYNC to "On" in the NVCP for those instances.disq wrote:What about games that don't have Vsync - ON as an option but only "Double Buffered", "Triple Buffered", "Adaptive", "Adaptive (1/2 Rate)" like the case on Apex Legends. Which one should we pick?
That is indeed confusing wording for your average end user, but "Adaptive" in that option's case is not the same thing as "Adaptive Sync."
