144hz vs 165hz OC Gsync

Hey its me again with another question.

So my Monitor can be OCed to 165hz my Gpu cant run games besides like csgo or overwatch at 1440p 140+fps so my question is pretty simple Whats better not ocing and seting the gsync fps cap to 140 or ocing to 165 so i dont have to use a frame limiter since my fps never go over 140 but in return having more fps fluctuation? thanks

Running capped at an FPS limit that you can reach consistently is usually better for consistency and in many cases also for input lag.
