Optimal settings for modern warfare?

i know the ideal settings for best g sync experience and low latency is v sync on and g sync on in nvc with latency mode on and fps cap -3 under your monitor hz. But some reason if use rtss to cap my fps in modern warfare is get unsmoothness. And if i use the in game limiter its broken. And nvidia limiter makes me lag in this game too. What are my options?

I use Vsync on, Gsync on, cap frames to 138 in NVCP.

Runs perfect.

I heard capping fps in NVCP gives you 2 frames slower, RTSS only 1 fps slower.

Sadly, fps limiter in game doesnt work as it should.

Also Im not sure we can use Ultra Low latency feature, because COD MW is dx12 game, anyone can confirm?
"Low Latency Mode* Settings:

*This setting is not currently supported in DX12 or Vulkan.

If an in-game or config file FPS limiter is not available, RTSS is prohibited from running, a manual framerate limit is not required, and framerate exceeds refresh rate:
Set “Low Latency Mode” to “Ultra” in the Nvidia Control Panel. When combined with G-SYNC + V-SYNC, this setting will automatically limit the framerate to ~59 FPS @60Hz, ~97 FPS @100Hz, ~116 FPS @120Hz, ~138 FPS @144Hz, ~224 FPS @240Hz, etc.
If an in-game or config file FPS limiter, and/or RTSS FPS limiter is available, or Nvidia’s “Max Frame Rate” limiter is in use, and framerate does not always reach or exceed refresh rate:
or.
Set “Low Latency Mode” to “On.” Unlike “Ultra,” this will not automatically limit the framerate, but like “Ultra,” “On” (in supported games that do not already have an internal pre-rendered frames queue of “1”) will reduce the pre-rendered frames queue in GPU-bound situations where the framerate falls below the set (in-game, RTSS, or Nvidia “Max Frame Rate”) FPS limit.""

I have a 240hz monitor (Freesync->GSYNC COMPATIBLE) and for this game specific, it doesn't seem to run smooth with GSYNC....even CSGO I got used to GSYNC.
GSYNC indicator on top left confirms that I have it set to ON.

UPDATE: Try using this setting in Nvidia Profile Inspector. Frame rate limiter mode: 0x00000010 PS_FRAMERATE_LIMITER_2_CONTROL_ALLOW_ALL_MAXWELL.

I'm using this and GSYNC + VSYNC ON Nvidia control panel. Still doesn't run with low input lag like other games do, but at least felt better.

In CSGO I use Frame rate limiter mode: Limiter V2 - Force Off [Enables Limiter V1 (Less Input Lag)] and it improves a lot.

If COD MW runs in DX12, correct, LLM settings will have no effect; DX12 and Vulkan games handle the pre-rendered frames queue themselves.

Might I ask why you aren't using RTSS or Nvidia's "Max Frame Rate" option in the NVCP, which is their new v3 FPS limiting method, and is as low lag as RTSS?

As far as I'm aware, no combination of NVI settings for the legacy Nvidia v1 and v2 limiter will result in as low lag as the new v3 limiter. And even if there was a combo that did, you're probably better off using v3 now that it is officially available.

Thank you for interacting. I tried all combinations possible, and that config felt better. When I first found out about that Frame rate limiter mode, it "made sense" that I would have to use the FPS limit value above for that option to take effect...but...even if I use in-game frame limiter, I do feel a difference by only changing the Limiter Mode in Nvidia Profile Inspector. Tried using "official" Max Frame Rate as well in NCP. It's worse.

How is the in game fps limiter broken for you? I can cap fps fine I just have to find the right number to set it to because for example if you want to cap fps to 72 I had to use 69 in game fps limiter and it capped fps at 72.

Yeah, COD MW's FPS LIMITER is terrible like that.

Why you suggest v3 limiter? I tried it both on laptop with gtx950m and pc 1070ti - this method give tearing and stutters.
