XG2703-GS gsync only in window mode [SOLVED]

Post by elior77 » 23 Apr 2020, 05:45

Hey,

Just got my kid XG2703-GS and 2070super, after installing we've found out that gsync works only in window mode (doom eternal, fortnite and others)

win 10
latest driver from nvidiea
gsync enabled in the driver (tried both modes)
all the rest is at default (only frame cap when running doom)

Any known issue and fix ?

Thanks !
Elior

I see you marked this as solved. Mind sharing the solution for anyone that happens across this that is possibly facing the same issue?

Sure!
I just edited the title and could not found the thread anymore.

Very simple, you must set the max refresh in the driver.

I forgot to do that and looked at many other unrelated solutions.

Works great at 165Hz/FPS

In order to configure gsync properly you must do three things in the driver:

1. Set resolution and refresh rate.
2. Enable gsync.
3. Set max FPS.
4. Set vsync to “on”

Enjoy !

Ah yes, a simple but sometimes overlooked step. Thanks for updating.
