One solution is to use ToastyX to raise the minimum FreeSync Hz to at least 55 Hz or 65 Hz. This is fine for a 240 Hz FreeSync monitor as LFC works much better at a higher Hz anyway.
The graphics driver is sometimes creating situations where the refresh rate is below min Hz — especially NVIDIA drivers on FreeSync monitors (Even G-SYNC Compatible). It does not always happen, but it is an interaction between software and hardware with imprecise minimum-refreshtime going below min Hz of the monitor.
This also affects many models of other monitors too, including ASUS, so it is not a ViewSonic specific thing.
