UFO multiple framerate test question about framerate

https://imgur.com/a/CToWDek Is the framerate supposed to go below 144fps?I noticed that if I switched back and forth between multiple browser tabs and going back to the ufo test tab some of the time the framerate would go down (lowest ive seen is 30,Very erratic fps flactuations) and then quickly go back to 144 if I stopped.Refreshrate never changes and sticks to 144hz.

If I dont tab switch the tests goes with the frames staying at 144 frames and everything is green (fine)

This on a g-sync monitor.

The real question is.Is it normal for the framerate to flactuate when quickly tabbing back and forth?
