Settings for clearest 240Hz blur reduction mode on aw2518h

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

Settings for clearest 240Hz blur reduction mode on aw2518h

Post by Moushady » 28 Oct 2020, 04:08

Hi,

I just got my alienware 240hz aw2518h, but the monitor feels like there is motion blur on it and not as clear picture as my xl2411.
If someone can help me to make the picture more clear like using the fast response time without getting that ghosting trail it would be appreciated.
Also i would like to know how to use CRU for best competitive edge on this monitor.

Thanks in advance :D

Do you prefer strobe-based motion blur reduction (e.g. ULMB), or framerate-based motion blur reduction (e.g. brute framerate & Hz)?

If you prefer strobeless blur reduction -- we prefer absolute minimum 2x refresh rate upgrades, i.e. 60Hz->144Hz, or the 144Hz->360Hz upgrade, since you need to double refresh rate to halve display motion blur (for framerate-based motion blur reduction).

Thats how the first gen 240hz are.

In comparison to the upgraded 240hz and other 144hz they are laggy panels.

Also the picture does look a bit fuzzy and soft all the time, you need to use Nvidia image sharpening to make it clearer.

So there is no noticeable improvement over 144hz 4ms to 144hz 1ms monitor?
