G-sync not working in league of legends

My monitor has a refresh rate counter and in any other game I can see the refresh rate matching to the fps in game however in League of Legends it stays at the monitor's refresh rate. I was wondering if there was a way to force gsync on in certain applications. I used to do this in the amd control panel but as far as I know nvidia doesn't have this sort of feature unless I am missing it.
