Please help, I have an issue with new monitor Aorus FI27Q (black dots dropping down vertically in the middle)

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

Please help, I have an issue with new monitor Aorus FI27Q (black dots dropping down vertically in the middle)

Hello.
First my pc.I have Gigabyte Rtx 3090 OC ( stock ) and 10850K stock ,32gb ram.

Issue is only on 1920x1080P with 165hz. On 1440P with 165mhz is fine. On 1920x1080P with 144hz is fine. On 1920x1080P with 165mhz i can see on screen small black dots flickering vertical.
If i wanna catch screen its not visible or clip. So i post screen and i added from paint. Just very small flickering black dots on vertical position. Screens not working. Happens only in 1080P with 165HZ. Visible on desktop too when i am very close.

If the monitor is new and it's bothering you that much and you can't fix it return it and get a native 144hz monitor. Someone else just posted having problems with their 165hz monitor (different model). Is your monitor listed as overclocked aswell? Why would you want to use 1080p on a 1440p monitor with that card if you don't mind me asking or were you just testing out the frame rates on the lower resolution?

Hey teG,thank you for answering. I was testing for a moment Crysis Remaster in 1080P and just discovered that mini small black vertical dots.
They are on all non native resolutions with 165hz. So 1080P and below. With 144hz its fine.
Using native 1440P with 165hz also its fine.

1080P 165hz- dots
1080P 144hz - fine no dots
1440P 165hz - fine no dots

I wouldn't worry about it too much. There's no noticeable difference between 144hz and 165hz. It seems that 165hz is just an unpolished gimmick in a number of these 165hz monitors.

Don't rma it of you've fixed it. Technology isn't perfect. There's a chance that this happens on some other brands of monitors too. Most people won't know as they tend to use their monitors native resolution.

Obviously your monitor and others with that monitor have noticed that the monitor itself is not perfect at scaling. With gpu scaling there is next to no difference in the scaling speed (about 1ms if any).

I would personally use your monitors native resolution. If its anything over 25" then 1080p is going to look like crap anyway.

If that person from reddit with same monitor:
www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/hib8 ... w_monitor/

That was 8 months ago get the same issue on 1080P. Is a change that was still related to drivers or its our monitors?:)

ps:
And yes on 1080P 165HZ PERFORMING SCALING TO GPU fixing that small line of dots/squares
