In case anyone's wondering what the price of a DIY Kit is in Europe:

NVIDIA
DIY Kit $199.00
Tax $0.00
Shipping $9.50
Total $208.50

SHIPITO
Mailout fee: $1.00
Special requests: $6.00
Postage: $54.28
(Carrier) ($52.04)
(Bank fee 4.3%) ($2.24)
TOTAL: $61.28

So about $270.

Warranty vs no warranty.
You buy a modded VG248QE it has no warranty

I already went through this with overlord while back I even ask if they would check for pixel issues since I was spending 500 for monitor with no warranty they said they did not offer pixel perfect with this monitor.

Don't waste your money on modded VG248QE wait for AOC with full OSD controls and warranty.
One thing if you asked this while back but g-sync monitors are so close to retail not worth taking a risk.

You void the warranty even if you mod it yourself, no?

Did you go through with this? If so, are there no additional "hidden" costs in the shipment?

Did you order the kit from the nvidia website and than used shipito to get it overseas? I'm very tempted to do that.

Depending on your country and how well you're at declaring the shipment you may pay import duties.

Exactly. I think it's a pretty good option, especially for those who already have a VG248QE.

Yeah, need to look into this. I think we have extra import duties in belgium when ordering electronic devices from the us.

It's a shame that Nvidia isn't providing the DIY kit outside north america!
