Buying ASUS VG248QE G-Sync versus waiting for AOC G2460PG
Buying ASUS VG248QE G-Sync versus waiting for AOC G2460PG
Anyone got the pros and cons?
Re: Buying ASUS VG248QE G-Sync versus waiting for AOC G2460P
The asus is the modded one or you mean the version with G-sync native?
Re: Buying ASUS VG248QE G-Sync versus waiting for AOC G2460P
Yeah, the ASUS VG248QE is the one that can be modded / bought pre-modded.CoMa wrote:The asus is the modded one or you mean the version with G-sync native?
The only G-Sync native monitor announced by ASUS is the $800 ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q.
Anyway, I just decided to order myself one of those DIY Kits. Should have done this long ago, but being in Europe made it a bit difficult

how you can buy the kit in europe?

Are you in the UK?
Isn't the already modded one from scan end up cheaper? Or do you already have the monitor?

Nope, Switzerland. I can get the regular monitor for a pretty decent price here. Might even buy it used.fenderjaguar wrote:Are you in the UK?

Scan sells them for $740 and that's not even counting shipping (if they'd ship here), customs and the fact that they don't have any stock.
Also I'm really looking forward to do the modding myself

Overlord is now selling pre-built ASUS VG248QE GSYNC monitors (this link supports Blur Busters!) and shipping them overseas. They got a few in stock as of end of May 2014. So you Europeans can buy a VG248QE fully pre-modded with GSYNC.
For those of you waiting for other models of GSYNC monitors, there will be a flood of them next year. There is a List of GSYNC Monitors to keep track of the upcoming monitors. Many of the ones listed won't likely be arriving till 2015, but at least a couple of them are due soon (or within several months, depending on delays).
