BF5 force G-sync/Freesync ?

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

BF5 force G-sync/Freesync ?

Post by WelcomeInNewWorld » 06 Jan 2022, 02:36

Hi,

I have a BenQ XL2540 display with G-sync disabled in the Nvidia control panel. Every time I run BF5 it automatically activates Freesync on my display. When I launch this game and go to the control panel of the screen it shows me in System - Information :
- Model name : XL2540
- Input : Displayport
- Current resolution : 1920x1080@
- Optimal resolution : 1920x1080@240 Hz
- Freesync : Enabled

While it should show me the same data as when I play CS:GO:
- Model name : XL2540
- Input : Displayport
- Current resolution : 1920x1080@144 Hz
- Optimal resolution : 1920x1080@240 Hz

I don't know why it forces me to G-sync every time I run BF5. The only solution I found is to install an old Nvidia driver where G-sync technology was not yet implemented. But I recently formatted my computer so I'm with the latest driver.
Does anyone have a solution? Thanks :)
