Hello everyone, I'd recommend you to read my post entitled "Here's a real example of a 1000hz display... I think" before reading this one, that said I just found out about a canadian company thats bringing to market a superfast capacitive multitouch technology, the company is called tactual labs http://www.tactuallabs.com, I advise anyone to check out their youtube channel and see some of their videos, its pretty cool, anyway, even though their tech is just about touch input in order to unlock its full potential they have to use really fast displays!, in their demos they used "a modified DLP" (probably running at 1000hz or more!!). Now what Im about to say is pure speculation (I do not know anyone that works there) but my guess is they'll have to use high framerate low persistance AMOLED displays in future tech demos, probably even faster than whats used in the oculus rift. Anyway, Im a bit exited about this, I really expected this type of things would become a reality in a 10+ years timeframe, now we are looking at a 5 year timeframe, maybe even less!, let me know what you think people!
