What do they mean with starting windows in: "%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp" ? How do I apply this, or is it not important?
It's a path. Drop the %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp path into the address bar in your file explorer, it will open the path:

This path is used by Windows to start programs when you start your PC.

It's not needed for testing purposes but once you overclock it and you want to always use the overclocked refresh rate, after you restart your PC, Windows will automatically apply that overclocked refresh rate when it starts, and so you will need to bust the Out Of Range message when you restart your PC, that's why you add it to the startup folder, so it busts the out of range message when your PC starts.

XL2720Z DVI-D Dual-link(ToastyX's atikmdag-patcher) working 262 Hz:

Settings:

Looks Ok, no flicker.

Also tried 263 Hz, this black-screens with no out of range message:

Also going over 400 mHz pixel clock at 262 Hz by increasing vertical total a little black-screens as well:

Very happy with the results so far.

did you try this test?

https://www.testufo.com/blackframes
add 8 ufos
and full framerate ufo : ON

can you confirm that your screen does not go "full white" and then you need to reboot the monitor.

black is the only color that seems to activate that "overvoltage protection" dunno, someone mentioned it earlier in this thread.

Hello HZ enthusiasts, I`m struggling with my XL2411P very much as of now, I can`t get past the Out of Range message and I have tried all the methods. AntiOOR says 0xCC = 2 and 0xDC = 21 . I couldn`t find Display application - 0xDC in softMCCS for some reason.

Im running on RX580, tried 180hz 200hz and 220hz with various timings: https://gyazo.com/656dbe32f0a32f7786e75046ffcda7c3

Are you aware you can SHARE fully pre-configured TestUFO tests? ;) Just change the menus THEN copy and paste the URL. Then user doesn't have to configure the Test after click. For example:

www.testufo.com/blackframes#count=8&bonusufo=1&equalizer=1&background=000000&multistrobe=1&pps=960

Also, there's a full screen feature of TestUFO -- click the button that appears at upper-right corner of animation (four outwards arrows)

Tried it, left it for a minute or two in fullscreen with these settings:

And it didn't go into black screen or full white.

In the service menu it said I have V004-20141017 firmware.

Does anyone want to go on discord / any share screening program to help me deal with this problem?

I have the same problem with my XL2411P. Guess we just have the wrong monitor or monitor software, although some people actually managed to get it to work on this monitor. I have 0xDC = 11 for my value , and I use a nvidia 1650 super. What’s your cpu? Just curious if it might be relayed to the problem..
