Acer monitor overclocking

Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.

Acer monitor overclocking

Post by Quajila » 17 Dec 2023, 18:53

I have the Acer Nitro XF273 S which has a stock refresh rate of 144hz and an overclock mode of 165hz. To enable this overclock mode I have to simply switch to 165hz through the Windows display settings, not through the monitor OSD. Is this really an overclock mode if I dont have to enable it through OSD?

I was looking at the MPRT test and for 165hz I get "Persistence = 5.6ms (MPRT)" and on 144hz I get "Persistence = 6.4ms (MPRT)". Which of these 2 options would be better to use?
