Was wondering if anyone else has gotten custom Hz to work on this panel? or custom res in general on ada?
Been trying to get 360.000Hz or 333.000Hz on this thing for better jitter and frame smoothness but I still cant even tweak in NVCP or CRU

It’s DSC.

If you want to use things like DSR/DLDSR and custom resolutions, you’ll need to disable DSC (which will limit it to 240Hz) in the monitor OSD.

You can try, so long as it's below 1440p, but no guarantees; 240Hz 1440p 8-bit 4:4:4 chroma maxes out the non-DSC/native bandwidth of DisplayPort 1.4.

Bottom-line is, don't buy a DSC monitor if you want to create custom resolutions reliably.

Unlikely, since 240Hz 1440p 8-bit 4:4:4 chroma maxes out the non-DSC/native bandwith of DisplayPort 1.4.

thats weird it says for 2560x1440 that 1440p 250hz is only 27.65Gbps and DP 1.4 can do 32.4Gbps

UPDATE: got 250Hz to work at 1440p and I can get 290Hz but its unironically less smooth than 250Hz bc of jitter.
If anyone with a 240Hz OLED could try to run 250Hz lmk if it works. I wanna have 0ms jitter

I was speaking generally. It depends on the monitor.

In the PG27AQN's case, it goes 360Hz 1440p max with DSC on and 240Hz 1440p max with DSC off. I.E. it doesn't have a factory overclock with DSC off that can fully saturate DP 1.4.

That and just because DP 1.4 can support that maximum bandwidth on paper doesn't mean that literally translates in all cases.

A particular monitor's scaler (and whether the scaler is a G-SYNC module or not), the firmware, EDID, etc, can also influence how much and what custom resolutions at what refresh rates you can push.

That said, I don't personally play with custom resolutions myself, so I can't offer much more insight than that.

Its not frame skipping, this is the most fluid the panel has been since having it imo. 0ms jitter is so nice.

If your meaning of "jitter" was something else in this case (achievable frametime/framerate, etc), it wasn't immediately clear.

Oh i was meaning jitter by mouse jitter sorry for not clarifying
