Overclock to my tv not working

Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.

Overclock to my tv not working

Post by TheSimplor » 16 Jan 2024, 03:58

So i overclocked my tv with amd radeon software and i be able to get 144hz, but when i run a game i dont feel that smoothness of a 144hz monitor, and i doesnt feel it in my desktop too.
I tried with 75hz,70hz,65hz, but i cant see the difference, and in the games sometimes it changes to 60hz,like geometry dash.
I check it on windows configurations, in ufo test and shows me 144hz, but i dont feel that smoothness, and i can with a no overclocked 144hz monitor.
😕
And i have a hdmi 2.0 that supports 144hz and more

Do the frame skipping test. Maybe the TV is just dropping frames and limits itself to 60 that way.

Yes.

You probably can't. But you can try things like reduced timings and optimized timings in CRU, and different refresh rates. Maybe you'll hit a combination that happens to work. But maybe the TV will not accept any of them and will always skip frames. There's no way to know.
