Best LCD panels ATM [at-the-moment]

Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.

Best LCD panels ATM [at-the-moment]

What current LCD panels can show 120, 144, 240hz?
24" Response Rime: 3.5/1.5 (Typ) (Tr/Td) (ms) M240HW01 V8 uses in Asus VG248QE, BenQ XL2411T, BenQ XL2420TE, BenQ XL2420T rev 2.
27" Response Rime: 0.8/2.6 (Typ) (Tr/Td) (ms) M270HHF-L10 uses in Asus VG278HE, BenQ XL2720T.
Dunno why Asus announce their model Asus VG278HE as 2ms GtG when all other 144hz models are 1ms even with a bit slower(? 3.5/1.5 vs 0.8/2.6) 24" panel.
27" panel was used in DIY 240Hz Non-interpolated zero-buffer display by cirthix

Different measurement metrics. Sometimes they measure by
- Worst case GTG
- Average GTG
- black-white-black
- Persistence (The important number. Big kudos to the rare manufacturer that chooses this measurement method. But would even be better if they quote numbers for each refresh rate, strobed and non strobed)

GtG is not the main cause of motion blur on newer LCD panels. It is the sample and hold effect (high persistence). Assuming GTG is fast enough to bypass in the dark cycles of strobing, it ceases to be the limiting factor, strobe lengths can be shorter than GTG. Most 2ms LCD have 16.7ms persistence, so manufacturers don't like quoting the persistence (More accurate comparison of motion blur, and easily mathematically calculated as 1ms persistence equalling 1 pixel of motion blurring during 1000 pixels per second).

Eizo FG2421, a 4ms+ VA panel, is a slower LCD but has less motion blur when strobed (Turbo240) than non-strobed 1ms TN panels. Due to it's better colours and brightness in EIZO's equivalent of LightBoost, I use that display when playing solo games. Blows away all LightBoost and ULMB displays for 120fps VSYNC ON motion fluidity CRT-quality nirvana. No motion blur/dizziness when grappling rails in Bioshock Infinite, and I get 5000:1 contrast ratio while strobed. But very GPU hungry to maintain simultaneous blurfree/stutter free/tear free/contrasty/bright (CRT quality nirvana), since it stutters the moment I drop a frame below 120fps. My Titan helps maintain that solo nirvana status, when lag isn't critical.
