I'm having trouble getting 1600x1200 at 85HZ. I have a VGA to displayport 1.1 and a VGA --> HDMI adapter as well.
I've messed around with CRU and was able to get the 1600x1200 85hz working, however the colors were messed up and or the display was on the sides with the VGA to HDMI.
VGA to displayport 1.1 only 1284x1024 at 85hz.
I'm just confused, because display port 1.1 should have enough bandwidth right?
Is there anything I can do or buy?
Anyone have any recommendations for converters other than HDFury?
NEC MultiSync FE2111SB 85HZ at 1600x1200?

Which graphics card do you have? If it's an nvidia, try downloading this:
http://www.monitortests.com/forum/Threa ... ck-Patcher
Run it, select "yes" and reboot. See if it helps. If it doesn't, don't forget to run it AGAIN, and undo the changes (it will ask you to restore from backup.)
If it helps, you'll have to do that on every driver update.

Do you know how or can point me in the right direction to get the timings correctly?
I've googled it and wasn't able to pull up any information on how to get the correct timings. I want to try it again
Re: NEC MultiSync FE2111SB 85HZ at 1600x1200?
The timings should be pretty standard. If you select "CRT" in CRU, they should be correct.
But since it doesn't work, either the monitor is bust, or your converter doesn't work correctly.
I can't think of anywhere where you'd find correct timings. You might want to google for "crt monitor timings calculator" and see if there's any tools that have this monitor in their database. Years ago, there were such databases.
Another option would be to hunt down an *.inf file for this monitor (probably for Windows XP). But, well. Good luck with that
Another thing to watch out for, is that the maximum horizontal refresh rate (note: horizontal, not vertical) for this monitor is 115 kHz (note: kHz, not Hz.) If in CRU you exceed that, the image will probably be wrong and you can damage the monitor.
