CRT monitor

I overclocked my CRT monitor so I can play on a high refresh rate
here are the setting I used in the nVidia panel:
Image

Model is Belinea 10 80 80 and in the spec sheet it's stated that horizontal refresh max is 121 KHz
(http://drivers.hu/drv/belinea/monitor/108080De.pdf)
167hz is the max I could get on low resolutions (even 640x480)

The problem is that I sometimes notice some skipping
Is it possible for a CRT monitor to have frameskipping?

I made a video at 120fps slow motion with my phone while doing the testufo frameskip test
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tHDV7rF6M4
but I didn't find any frameskipping in it even when slowing the youtube video to 0.25 speed

am I just seeing things?
is it possible that the monitor can't keep up with such overclocked refresh rate although it "allows" it?

what do you mean by "skipping"?

I mean when I move my mouse in a fast, circular motion on a black background I can see the mouse disappearing for a few frames

What mouse? if you are using a 128hz polling rate, that would cause skips to happen.

Could that not just be a limitation of the USB polling rate?

haha lex, unbelievable. I'm gonna start calling you the 1 minute man :)

no, I'm using a gaming mouse set to 1000hz

I'm not sure that using a mouse is a smart idea to test the temporal properites of a display. You've confirmed that there is no frame skipping in the blurbusters frame skipping test, so clearly the monitor is refreshing fast enough, right?

is there a better way to test frame skipping?
and one of my original question was that can CRT monitor have frame skipping at all? Isn't it limited to LCD only?

You've already tested for frame skipping. Your CRT is not causing frame skipping, otherwise it wouldn't have passed the test you did.

I may be wrong here, but isn't frame skipping caused by video hardware/software? How would a display, whether it be CRT or LCD, be a cause of frame skipping?
