have a question about timing my Philips 246E7QDSW monitor, I can not overclock even though it can overclock up to 81 Hz.I have Graphics card MSI geforce 1070 gaming. When using the nvidia pixel clock patcher and the graphic card control panel I increase the pixel patch above 151.9999 MHz at any resolution, the pixel will begin to pixel and blink pixels. For all that this monitor does not have a problem in reducing vertical pixels. Unfortunately, there is a problem when the pixel clock frequency exceeds even one thousand MHz. I tried to mount the monitor in front of DVI-D and HDMI and unfortunately the result was always the same. I have tried other versions of drivers and the problem still remains. Do not know what the problem might be? Thank you in advance for the answers.

I believe it could be a cable length issue. Make sure that you are using the shortest cable possible and make sure you're using a true dual link DVI. If i'm right that would mean that the more pixel clock you push the more it will cause the pixels to flicker. A way around this is by using a lower VT/HT to reduce the PC.

HDMI and DVI-D are 1,5 m. I tried to reduce the vertical and horizontal pixels and the problem remains. The problem also occurs at a lower resolution if the pixel clock is higher than 151.9999 MHz. I'm using W10. W10 was a new installation. Is it possible that the error is in the wrong setting in BIOS or W10?

i really doubt it. I've only seen it on long or faulty cables.

When i had a custom monitor that could OC a 120hz panel to 270hz i used a 30cm cable to get the highest hz possible and to prevent this issue my PC was pretty much touching the monitor.

It will be 1m for 81 Hz max.? So both cables of the same length mastered 151.999 Mhz? On an old PC with the same cable I overclocked without a problem and adjusting 70 Hz. For this pc I have a problem over 66 Hz without editing horizontal and vertical pixels.

It could be just the chip not being to handle the bandwidth and glitching out.

The only way to check is with a new cable lol

I had slightly different artifacting depending on the GPU port i used. Maybe GPU affects it aswell

I used both DVI-D and HDMI ports and the problem was the same

My problem persists after replacing the cable. Higher pixels are flashing above 151.999 MHz. In darker backgrounds and images, the blue pixels are lit.
