Make custom resolution in CRU and for example if you play your game in 1024x768 make 1024x769 or 1024x767. It's working for me in CS:GO.
BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz
Re: BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz
Re: BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz
The same thing happened with CRU the game(Valorant) start @200Hz but as soon as I click anywhere on the screen it will alt+tab automatically and revert back to 144Hz.
I did manage to get it to work in 1920x1080 @200Hz by setting Adjust deskstop size and position in the Nvidia Control Panel to Aspect Ratio instead of Full screen but..
I want to play this game in 1600x900 @200Hz, I made a custom resolution for that but I only get it to work if I set it to Interger scaling or No scaling in the Nvidia Control Panel resulting in the game not being Fullscreen which I don't want.
I also tried Aspect Ratio and Full screen for 1600x900 and it revert back to 144Hz as soon as I click anywhere in game.
any idea?
Thank you, Have a nice day

Hi guys.
I've found something weird in OC with DP cables,
and idk that you already know that or not,
but when you oc your monitor with DP cable it's actually not overclocked, why?
Because your active signal doesn't change and you play in 144hz anyway with higher input lag.
When I did oc my monitor and went to game, I didn't feel any difference between 144hz and 210hz, but input lag went up...
See these images >>
First I put -freq in CS:GO to 60hz but as you see active signal is 144hz and the actual game is 144hz too. The mat_info said @60hz but it's not.

Second I put -freq 210 and as you see again mat_info said it's 210hz but it's not. It's actually 144hz with higher input lag.

This problem is for DP cables only. But DL-DVI cables should work fine with no problem.

As far as I know the Set Launch Option Command is -refresh and not -freqkomic0 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2020, 07:33Hi guys.

and I can guarantee you that monitor OC work ingame if you want to be sure just keep your Nvidia Panel open in the Resolution tab and if the resolution don't revert back to 144Hz and stay at 210Hz in your case then you're playing at your monitor OC the monitor panel itself will not say 210Hz.

A fullscreen game can run at a different refresh rate than desktop. The mat_info command will display in console at what refresh rate CSGO is running:youbekay wrote: ↑23 Apr 2020, 13:41As far as I know the Set Launch Option Command is -refresh and not -freq

Re: BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz
You need one of the "Out of Range dismisser" utilities posted in this thread, that is designed specifically for BenQ ZOWIE monitors. A mode change (e.g. toggles between full screen and windowed) requires the OOR-popup hack to be repeated automatically.
The method of dismissing those "Out of Range" overclock blocks varies somewhat between BenQ ZOWIE models, so make sure you configure the utility correctly. Also the utilities in this thread (OORbuster, etc) is incompatible with other brands of monitors.

Re: BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz
Before trying hlevs .exe (1.4) i run it on virus total, and at the same time i've got notified from win defender of a malicous file.
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/972 ... /detection
Even if it s a false positive i can't understand why such a tool has to "ping" to an ip.
I don't wanna point the finger to early but i'd like some clarification, because i ve never seen such thing on this reputable site, nor a false positive like that.
BTW Thank you Chief for this amazing discover that i didn't know about!

The source code is on GitHub. It doesn't ping any IPs. But you can download Visual Studio and re-compile it to feel safe

Re: BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz
Sadly im not a programmer so i can't tell and review the source code, that just what virus total and its sandbox says.
Am i the only one that has this .exe reported as malicious from win defender? i havent got any problem with softmccs
Edit: just read now about visual studio. btw i repeat, i don't point the finger to anyone, is just strange to me that so many antivirus report such tool as malicious, even the sandbox reporting to call an ip. i can't be the only one that has been flagged from win def, nor the only one that makes a problem about it.
