BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz

Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.

My XL2411P just wont get the out of range message away no matter what I do... Wtf am I doing wrong....

OORBUSTER does nothing. AntiOutOfRange does nothing. Bruh... Am I running the programs wrong? I just run them as the way i download them, as a .exe file. I use dp port btw
It doesn't say in the readme, but Oorbuster actually registers a global hotkey: alt+home. It applies oor fix, then picture fix, then restores the AMA settings, like it is supposed to on alt-tab, but you do it manually. So you can try to press alt+home when you see the out of range message.

I use it when it fails to detect the mode change.
Still doesn’t work for me somehow. Is there anything i should sent to you to help find out whats going on?
My monitor is running version 9 if that makes any difference:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kDGi23 ... p=drivesdk
I tried it with ToastyX’s patch and without, but it probably shouldn’t make a difference since I use dp port. Maybe my display port is to old..? I’m using 1.2 I think. I have a gtx 1650 super and idk if my cpu matters but its a old xeon e5-1650

What are you using to overclock? Nvidia Control Panel? Custom Resolution Utility? Something else? With what paremeters are you trying to overclock it with? Post screenshots of how you do it.

What Nvidia drivers version are you using?

Someone reported on the previous page:

I just downloaded the latest nvidia drivers 9/17/2020 and I couldn't go fullscreen with an overclocked refresh rate. Reinstalled back to old drivers and it works again. Beware of the new drivers guys.
Also, these google drive links you're posting, nobody can access them except you, they're private.

XL2720Z DVI-D Dual-link(ToastyX's atikmdag-patcher) working 262 Hz:

Settings:

Looks Ok, no flicker.

Also tried 263 Hz, this black-screens with no out of range message:

Also going over 400 mHz pixel clock at 262 Hz by increasing vertical total a little black-screens as well:

Very happy with the results so far.

A stable 262Hz!

That's an 82% overclock above stock Hz.

You have also failed even with the manual methods (2-monitor method: Using SoftMCCS on a 2nd monitor to manually dismiss the OUT OF RANGE popup)?

And you have failed small overclocks such as 160 Hz too?

If so, what firmware version is installed on your XL2411P?

Can you bring up the factory menu (button press instructions in sticky of BenQ forum area) and check? Perhaps the firmware versions determine overclock ability.

(P.S. Your permissions on that specific file on Google Drive isn't set to public)

Hey! Yes, I've tried using SoftMCCS with a second monitor, but the program kept crashing. At some point I think I hit the 2 boxes, but nothing happened. I've also tried the AntiOOR and OORbuster program in admin mode and normal mode. With small overclocks it doesnt work aswell. It has a cap at 148-151hz, but that was out of the box, so without any need for a program. This small overclock is very inconsistant though. Sometimes it workes, other times it showes out of range again. I have posted a photo below (I hope it workes this time) of my menu.

What do they mean with starting windows in: "%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp" ? How do I apply this, or is it not important?

Btw I tried with poth nvidia control panel and cru, less with cru because i need to restart every time after change. Also I dont think its due to nvidia drivers, because it didnt work 3 months ago for me as well. I'm currently running 456.38

I've also tried the AntiOOR and OORbuster program
When you open AntiOOR, what values does it show for 0xCC and 0xDC?

It shows:
0xCC = 2
0xDC = 11
Apply fix after how many seconds?
_

When I try using this it sometimes shows my screen for half a second and then goes out of range. This only happens when the fix is applied before the monitor can show the out of range message (1 or 2 seconds on the program)

Alright, so it successfully detects your language and picture mode, which means it should successfully set them, too. :|

If SoftMCCS is crashing on your monitor, then the OOR utilities won't be able to work either. They all use the same "protocol" (DDC/CI) to communicate to your monitor.

That folder allows you to automatically run your choice of applications automatically every time you reboot your computer. You simply move or copy the icon shortcut into that folder, and -- voila -- Windows will automatically run your chosen app everytime your computer starts up.

That said, this may be an easier method for those not familiar with classic folder paths:
