Yeah there's no frame skips at the normal 144hz. But it seems like anything OCed just has frame skips no matter what. Even at 165 it was present. It's just disappointing. Thought it was going to work up until u did the UFO test.

Maybe pixel timing would correct it, but idk what I'm doing when it comes to those settings. 2005/ 1088 allowed the 200hz refresh rate to be recognized without needing s switch or any applications other than NVCP but as I said anything above 144hz did not pass the UFO test

I have a 2430T and I'm testing OC with the monitor.
I just set the custom res to 1080p @ 200hz with Manual timings but without touching the Total pixels. Says 451 pixel clock.

Seems to work fine. I do get some slight weird "lines" on the top right corner. Did I do this right or do I need to adjust some more additional settings?

If I try to go to 200/215 I will get strange artifacts and sharpness glitches. Even using the total pixels suggested on the initial post.

Am using xl2411z with 200hz overclock for some time now, i was looking to improve the colors and i saw the tip about putting display application in movie and then turn donw the sharpness, problem is sharpness is grayed out any solutions?

That's a normal artifact for TN overclocking - for a panel pushed to its limits. This was was an occasional artifact on certain early LightBoost LCD panels too (e.g. ASUS VG248QE LightBoost) which were also pushed to their limits when LightBoost was enabled.

It's likely caused by LCD voltage becoming slightly less uniform across the LCD plane -- especially inversion artifacts can start looking different in different parts of the panel.

Generally, the only way to make this artifact disappear is the use of a lower refresh rate. But if it doesn't bother you in gaming...

Recently, every so often (for no apparent reason), my XL2420Z goes black and "out of range" and OorB doesn't detect it and revert it. I'm not sure what it is but I was wondering if maybe there could be an option to set a hotkey for OorB to reload? Thanks

Hi there, I moved to a new pc with my xl2411z and i have to use an adapter from dvi-d to display port.
is the adapter the reason i cant oc to 120hz or am i missing something =_=
did not try hdmi cable yet but i think it wont be able to get 120.

Adaptors can provide roadblocks that prevents overclocking.

That said, you should still be able to get 144Hz operation with any adaptor capable of the bandwidth necessary. In theory, adaptors are just bandwidth limiters and not refresh rate limiters. There might be an issue of preserving bit depth (6bpc vs 8bpc) which may be another overclock bottleneck but should not prevent 120Hz or 144Hz.

That said, the XL2411Z uses an older HDMI spec that is more bandwidth limited and might not hit the high Hz -- but you should also give it a try.

hmm, so I might missed something, btw I just realized that there are dvi-d to displayport cables but i bough an adapter xD

I have three questions regarding my XL2411Z.

First, after enabling ToastyX's pixel clock patcher, I get a OSD message like "Wrong cable connected. Please use the DVI cable that came with your monitor". The monitor still functions normally and shows the DVI input though. As soon as I unpatch the driver and restart the PC the message disapperas - but OCing is obviously not possible anymore. Any way to fix the message?

Second, how can I get Battlefield 4 (and any other game that is not CSGO) running at the OCed hz apart from setting it to borderless mode? Changing the hz value in the config didn't help.

Third, @Falkentyne , apart from OCing, what are the "best" performancing enhancing tweaks for the XL2411Z regarding gaming?
I read about the VT tweak and display scaling (I can't chose display scaling in nvidia cp though) but I'm not sure what actually benefits gaming performance. Sorry for going somewhat off-topic here, I would message you personally if I could!
