ASUS VW222 - Trying to go beyond 76hz help
ASUS VW222 - Trying to go beyond 76hz help
So i found out that i can overclock my old monitor ASUS VW222 to 76 and playing is sooo much smoother than on my IPS Samsung. But i can only reach 76 and then out of range message pops out. What can i do to overcome that? Can i mess up with timing? Which settings can i change to go further (or software to use)? Thanks for any tips and advices.
Re: ASUS VW222 - Trying to go beyond 76hz help
As of my understanding, you could try the "CVT reduced blank" timing for further improvement. Or even after that custom timings.
But you already are at a very high overlocking level for this monitor. So no need to mess up with timings. There always might be a risk.
Be sure the monitor displays the 76Hz without frame skipping.

I tested frame skipping and it's okay and also try the CVT reduced blank with no succes. "Out of range" at 77hz all the time. I don't know what to change in custom timings to even try go further.t4rj4n wrote: ↑07 Mar 2020, 09:39As of my understanding, you could try the "CVT reduced blank" timing for further improvement. The 60Hz->120Hz trick for TVs should use a different HOWTO:exdablju wrote: ↑07 Mar 2020, 10:29I know it's a little bit offtop here but i also got Samsung T24D391EW - can i overclock it to 120hz? HOWTO: True 120Hz from PC to TV
Let me know if that works.
