[LG TV UH95 Overclock Attempt] Everething better than 60hz - No.

Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.

[LG TV UH95 Overclock Attempt] Everething better than 60hz - No.

Post by mycop » 06 May 2020, 02:54

Hi.
I tested my lg tv (uh95 series) on overclocking. Max FPS that i can set is 79. However... i tested it on https://testufo.com/frameskipping
AND all fps more than 60 - is framedropped.
Its look like some people even dont know that and deceive themselves.
Without drop test most result is useless.
However...why i wrote this...
My tv have true 120hz matrix. (iv belived it because of some reviews etc)
So... looks like something LOCK all ability of this matrix. Someone can help me to understand?

Because of the way HDTV panels are designed, we've found double-Hz is usually easier (i.e. 120Hz is usually easier than 79Hz)

Have you tried following these instructions:
Unlock 120Hz from PC to TV.

What GPU do you use? Older GPUs sometimes prevents 120Hz.
