Results are in Zowie XL2546X DYAC 2 runs perfect at 240HZ UFO Invasion test 0 blur with almost 0 cross talk 100% Screen

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, ToastyX, black frame insertion (BFI), and now framerate-based motion blur reduction (framegen / LSS / etc).

I actually decided to dump the XG2431 not so much cause of the contrast ratio but the garbage matte coating. YUCK

Buying a OLED monitor this black friday with glossy coating.

Also with AFMF 2 now we no longer have to worry about strobing we can double our FPS and significantly reduce blur without the need for strobing.

The other thing without VRR it makes no sense using strobing the quality of the image and experience of the game itself without VRR is actually WORSE than the best strobing that exist.

I refuse to play without VRR

Nvidia is releasing G Sync Pulsar but they don't have AFMF 2 driver based interpolation so locked 60 FPS games are useless with pulsar
AFMF 2 can convert any locked 60 FPS console title to 120 FPS without introducing any noticable artifacts or input delay to the human eye etc

With an OLED, you will be forced to play some games without VRR. Many games are fine, but other games are not due to traversal stutter. Especially modern Unreal Engine games suffer from this. On an OLED with VRR active, traversal stutter = flicker fest.

The only workaround is to use lagless vsync (RTSS scanline sync or Special K latent sync) or a low latency vsync cap, and target a frame rate the game can keep 99% of the time. On the up side, that target can be a bit lower than LCD. 90FPS on OLED looks about the same in motion clarity as 110-120 on LCD. 180Hz 1/2 vsync or 360Hz 1/4 vsync to get a 90Hz effective sync is pretty good on OLED if you come across a game that has too much VRR flicker.

If you go full-on 480Hz OLED, the FPS/Hz mismatch judder might actually be low enough as to play without VRR and no sync tricks. It might look fine. I only have 240Hz so I don't know for sure. But I can say for sure is that 240Hz without VRR looks much better than 144Hz without VRR. The judder is greatly reduced.

Can people even notice this flicker?

I could use my XG2431 at 60 HZ strobe and be fine so shouldn't OLED also be fine with flicker?

I just hate this garbage XG2431 matte coating, tiny screen and crappy 1080p res.

But to me the worst offender is this horrible matte coating its just like Zowie, its hazy and grainy it looks nasty

Glossy monitors are so much better but they only come in OLED monitor or TV sadly.

For what it's worth I had a Gigabyte M27Q P which had a "light" Matte coat and it was a trillion times better looking than this ugly blur buster monitor.

I also play an incredibly dark game called "GTFO" on Steam and when I look at any IPS screen all I see is IPS glow

MOBIUZ EX2510S 165hz IPS , actually good backlight strobing at 120hz, 165hz not so much, i was surprised, cheap monitor with insanely low input lag

I ended up buying the AOC Agon Pro 34" Ultrawide QD-OLED monitor I have not seen any OLED flicker with VRR enabled

The difference in quality the GLOSSY ultrawide screen perfect Colors Perfect Blacks incredible HDR performance for 2% brightness in super dark games is balls to the walls amazing.

Also Curved Ultrawide for FPS games OMFG

Can't wait to play Path of Exile 2 on this thing.

I waited all my life to get rid of these nasty matte coated monitors and finally the day has arrived and best part about these ultrawide QD OLED GLossy is it absorbs all light reflection and the curv eliminates 80% of reflections onto of that in return you get a nice crisp crystal clear image due to the gloss coating.
