Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!
i mailed:
Hello
@BunnyGamingPage
Can u please ask Klephts if the PG248QP 540hz monitor gets darker when u activate ULMB2 on 100% brightness? There are only about 2 reviews available on the whole internet, He made 1 on https://bunnygaming.com/reviews/asus-ro ... dominance/ ty!!
got the following mail back:
Hi David,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding ULMB 2.
They answer is no, not entirely. ULMB 2, while providing a great motion
blur reduction, does not retain 100% screen brightness when activated.
There is a very minute variance in brightness on the active pixels due
to the way ULMB 2 operates. However, this difference is barely
noticeable unless you have a particularly keen eye for such details. In
my testing, the difference is much more noticeable when you're camping
or standing still, as the only active pixels are the moving characters.
But when you're actively moving, its not noticeable as the brightness
would then be uniform.
In comparison to its predecessor (ULMB 1), ULMB 2 offers a complete
experience in terms of performance. In my opinion, ULMB 2 feels like a
more refined and complete version of what ULMB was originally marketed
to be.
I hope this information clarifies your question. If you have any more
inquiries or if there's anything else you'd like to know about our
products, please feel free to ask. We're here to assist you with any
further questions or concerns.
Regards,
Klephts
sounds good!

Remember to vote for it (ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP), couple of days left and it's couple of votes away from winning!

Sadly, bilbili seems to be locked to 360p so we can't view it in full quality.
idk how I got past the restriction tho..

Hello all,
does anyone have any idea if custom resolutions are possible e.g. 1720x1080? Or spits DSC again in the soup?
Thanks in advance!

Claims ULMB2 does not darken the screen on the PG248QP 540HZ ( unlike the PG27AQN) plus u can make custom resoltion on 500hz ( not 540hz) Sounds pretty good if the screen really stays bright. Then I am prob. gonna buy it.
I asked the guy in Chinese ( with google translator)
1. 在屏幕亮度为100%的情况下启动ULMB 2时,屏幕是否会变暗?
2. 可以在NVIDIA控制面板中创建自定义分辨率吗?
He answered:
540hz就不能创建自定义,500HZ就能,启动ULMB 2 不会变暗
"In English:
"1. When launching ULMB 2 with the screen brightness at 100%, will the screen dim?
2. Can a custom resolution be created in the NVIDIA Control Panel? "
He answered:
"You can’t create customizations at 540hz, but you can at 500hz, and it won’t dim when you start ULMB 2."

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!
for several months we have had a lot of advertising around this monitor but for the moment no release date?
I'm also interested in the possibility of creating custom resolutions @500/540hz, especially since the bad experience with the pg27aqn

For amazon it says december 30th.
https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-PG248QP/dp/ ... 158&sr=8-2
The info on it is all wrong so hopefully it is a mistake and at the very least is like you say and on the asus website in a week or two.

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!
I seem to remember LGs first OLED monitor being shipped in late December 2022, yet it was shipped a few weeks or month earlier. Late December just seems like an odd time frame to release something, so maybe it will be shipping to people this month.Cdim wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 00:05For amazon it says december 30th.
