I tried light Pure XP and I felt like it was a little to dark unless I raised the black equaliser even higher.
I have the colour settings set to the factory default and was wondering if people played around with those and found a good middle ground.

Surprised how much I like this monitor so far. The color really pops and clarity is best in class (even without BFI).
But anyone find themselves slightly preferring 24.5”? I notice the higher PPI on 23.8 but next to a 24.5 it is noticeably smaller. Kinda wish it was 24.5 but hoping I get used to it.

Hello,
I am currently looking at this monitor as an upgrade from my ACER XB271HU. After playing on my friends BenQ 2456K I have realized at how much I have been missing out on and how insanely good it looked and felt to use.
I didn't want to go back to TN which is why I found this one but I had some questions as I can't find a whole tonne of information about it. I did skim through 30 pages or so and did see the Chief BB guy only tests strobing. Obviously many people here would be using the strobing modes (and I think I will for certain games) but I wanted to know other performance outside of that.
What kind of response times is the monitor at lower framerates? I have a few certain games that can tank framerates at times anywhere down to 50-90 fps. I have been looking at Rtings but don't have this monitor yet. Has anybody used it with both VRR and without at lower framerates? I only ask because there was an 280hz ASUS monitor I looked into that at lower framerates (60) it had a really awful response time of like 25ms.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Anyone know what the "neutral" state for sharpness in this monitor is. Not sure if I should keep it at 50.
After using it for a bit I still cant decide whether or not Pure xp is something I would want to use cause of how dim it is.. I found 95 green and red and 100 blue to be a little less glaring with 85% digital vibrance on nvidia.
Keeping the brightness at around 60-65% but I am not sure if I should use Advanced or Ultra fast response time (Overdrive) if I am NOT using pure xp. I was told that if I can consistently get higher fps like 180+ to use ultra fast and if I have a game that averges below that to use advanced for less ghosting.

I was a little annoyed how much difference the smaller size made to start with. Couldn't aim very well. I just changed my FOV in quake champions from 118 to 114 and it felt right again. Muscle memory is back and working fine. Now my aim is back I can feel that it's a really decent upgrade from xg2401. Really clear and crisp. You do need the FPS locked to 240 to feel the benefit though. Looks amazing in duel but in DM where my fps dips it gets harder to see immediately. Also fps spikes are bad for consistent aiming anyway.

Great tip for ex-24.5" monitor users!
Decrease your game's FOV by about 3%
When moving from 24.5" to 23.8", for muscle memory compensation for the 3% diagonal size difference!

Update.
XG2431 Coming To Europe!
I was able to convince ViewSonic to ship an XG2431 to an European reviewer.... TFTCentral. (I'm trying to reach PCMonitors too)
Pushing hard to get more units in reviewer hands.
ViewSonic Europe says they''re working to get XG2431's in Europe this spring!

Today's my second day using this monitor and I noticed that monitor's speakers are silent when I play anything with sound from my pc unless I go into the monitor's OSD sound settings and adjust the volume manually. My windows volume is set to 70 and it isn't muted either. Anyone else experiencing this?
