Done. MAKE SURE TO VOTE ON THE 2586X NOT THE 2546X! (The 2546X had 3 votes, the 2586x 1 vote)forcedreg wrote: ↑06 Mar 2024, 05:15https://zowie.benq.eu/en-eu/monitor/xl2586x.html

Might as well wait a few more months for 480hz OLED.forcedreg wrote: ↑06 Mar 2024, 05:15https://zowie.benq.eu/en-eu/monitor/xl2586x.html

You can of course compare Hz 480 on Oled vs 540 on IPS or TN. I can tell you that most likely the Oled will win this comparison.
However, if you put motion clarity into your consideration, BLS / BFI is by far ahead on IPS or FastTN. If you care about colors, go buy Oled, if you care about motion clarity for precise vision/aim go buy a Product with blacklight strobing.
I clearly believe the XL2586X with DyAc2 is superior over all other technologies (ULMB2 & OLED & OLED BFI).

The 27" 480hZ 1440P ASUS OLED will have a backlightstrobing tech. See the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjdJjPd ... QwOQ%3D%3D video with the ASUS USA guy. I am courious how bright the monitor will get in SDR. The ASUS USA guy do says something about gamers who like brightness ( like me) he says something like if you really like brighntess other monitor tech suits more. Guess we have to wait and see.möppeldöp wrote: ↑08 Mar 2024, 07:38You can of course compare Hz 480 on Oled vs 540 on IPS or TN. I can tell you that most likely the Oled will win this comparison.

Well, black frame insertion to be precise since it doesn't have a backlight. I think I read somewhere that it's max 240 hz since it simply replaces every other frame with a black image. 480 hz BFI OLED with sufficient brightness would indeed be awesome, but I'm guessing it'll be 240 hz max. That would still be first of a kind(?), and with OLED response time even 240 hz BFI might be competitive or even better than 540 hz dyac/ulmb.daviddave1 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2024, 04:09The 27" 480hZ 1440P ASUS OLED will have a backlightstrobing tech. Re: New Zowie Monitor 540Hz XL2586X
I think you will need same HZ with BFI or at least almost same HZ with BFI to achieve same or better result with OLED. Don't forget about the pricing then.. you will pay the double or triple for that OLED. I am curious how things will evolve. that step from 240 to 480 Hz came super fast, don't know if we are already at the end here.
