Too soon when only one person says that longterm and there is no 1:1 comparison. If you put much effort into fixing it, you might as well get or borrow camera + arduino and do some tests to actually prove it to everyone.

I've tried the scheme that has been mentioned in the video, and couple of other ones. In conclusion I can say that don't spend your time and money on any of these things, people are claiming 30-40-50% and other random % fix are lunatics.
The brightest light casts the darkest shadow.
