@JimCarry
hmmm it's very strange that Faceit doesn't force you to activate it since then. I can see from your screenshot that Faceit only asks you to activate TPM (although you can override this after clicking ok) and to update Windows, it doesn't ask you to activate Secure Boot (certainly activated in your bios).
In your case, an external TMP module (if your motherboard has a slot for it) doesn't seem necessary, since you can play on this platform without TPM.

Re: TPM 2.0 is a absolu disaster [Faceit players]
I would not take a video because I do not know how to record on the computer (as an indication for the Faceit evidence of reporting I record with my cell phone and the image is horrible) I would therefore take different screenshots of the framerates in the game in fps_max 300 and fps_max 0, MS stability as well as LatencyMon.
I will do this in the evening

Re: TPM 2.0 is a absolu disaster [Faceit players]
So here are the different screenshots concerning the benefits of my external TPM module with details:
On LatencyMon I am below 1 regarding the average measured interrupt to DPL latency while my bios is by default with C-State, speedshift, hyperthreading and also I play in audio jack so HD audio is also activated.
Whereas before without the module I was around 1.20.
Also as you can see I remain in the green regarding the curve

On MouseTester a rather straight line (once again despite my default bios) with a very correct survey.
Before it wasn't so clean.

Re: TPM 2.0 is a absolu disaster [Faceit players]
On the benchmark test I gained around twenty fps but the most important thing is the stability of the framerate (I play in native resolution 1920x1080 with an i5 13600KF and an RTX 3060) if I lower the resolution it has to be 4/3 I am on average at 600 fps.

Re: TPM 2.0 is a absolu disaster [Faceit players]
For the screenshots in the game it's Faceit games at the spawn at the start of the round (I cap my fps at 300 compared to my configuration) and you will note that the fps are blocked at 300 and that the ms is low . When I am moving they do not go below 290 in these waters which allows me to keep a low ms.
Whereas before it was crazy fluctuations, a real roller coaster, it went from 3 to 5 or 6 all at once.

Re: TPM 2.0 is a absolu disaster [Faceit players]
Anyway, the fact that TPM creates crazy latency on systems is no longer an urban legend
Re: TPM 2.0 is a absolu disaster [Faceit players]
Obviously TPM is garbage on gaming systems, as is Security Boot, Global C-State. All of these security features impose huge latency and should not be used on gaming systems. Let them be used in corporate versions of Windows. I'm sure windows copilot is also garbage, just like game bar.Riggedinho wrote: ↑08 Jun 2024, 17:52Anyway, the fact that TPM creates crazy latency on systems is no longer an urban legend
Microsoft should release a gaming version of the operating system without this garbage.
Re: TPM 2.0 is a absolu disaster [Faceit players]
Don't know about this, since im on windows 10 and checked on this. on my mb its deactivated and you don't need it everywhere. Valorant as example required it for Windows 11 users but not for 10 so i can't really argue about that
