@F1zus

The problem, as indicated in the the initial topic, Faceit requires the activation of TPM & secure boot.
Microsoft will not do it, on the contrary they like to put obstacles in our way.
As a reminder, Windows 7 was the cream of the crop in terms of gaming OS, after 8.1 it's still good, after 10 at the start it wasn't too bad, not as good as version 7 but it was still decent and then the more we have progressed in time, the more the deployment of certain updates has broken things and Windows 11 is a real disaster (forced to install it with the internet which does not allow us to put the desired drivers, each license associated with a Microsoft account, crazy latency, compatibility problem, heavy OS etc... a real disaster).
But unfortunately the obsolescence of Windows 10 is coming soon.

Hi man, how's been going so far? I have literally the same problem as you, while playing Premier the game feels normal but on Faceit it's literally unplayable, like I was half a second behind everybody. I thought it was just me and I was going crazy over this but then I saw your post and it gave me hope. I've ordered a TPM module for myself but in the meantime, I'd appreciate any update?

Thanks in advance.

secureboot being enabled isn't the issue correct? As you still need it with the TPM 2.0 module you installed? Just wondering if you also disabled secureboot or if thats needed for the header as well thanks!

The TPM module simply replaces the firmware's built-in TPM support which uses the CPU. Nothing else changes.

For the people who say that this does not solve the problem, it is because initially we did not have the same problem.
As explained in the topic from the beginning the only place where I had this problem of latency, bad hitreg etc... was on the Faceit servers because of the anti-cheat.

So yes, I confirm once and for all that the external TPM module has solved my problem or at least greatly reduced it (I am taking this oratorical precaution because I imagine that there is always a way to be even better , between my default bios, a router worthy of the name and electrical wiring in my apartment that is up to standard and recent).

In the near future my owners are going to re-do my electrical wiring (because I am in an old apartment) to bring it up to standard so I imagine that at that moment I would be even better than better.

In short, the fact remains that with this discovery my game on Faceit is day and night.

@iwabik

advice for installation :

What you will do when you install it is to reset all your bios to default, you turn off the PC, you install your external TMP module, you turn on your PC and there will be two possibilities:

- either the PC does not start, you will therefore have to remove the bios battery and it is only at this moment when your PC restarts that you put the TPM module in discreet mode. (this is what happened in my case)
- the second possibility is that your PC starts up fine and only then can you activate the discreet TPM mode.

*************** Last step (VERY IMPORTANT otherwise it will create conflicts in the security keys and the feeling of input lag will be horrible) You format your PC instantly after activating the external TPM module.
