That .exe in task manager literally hosts EMF, in RAM, in CPU, in the network chip, etc.

Even a mere registry key is EMF, it is voltage charge in your SSD held by a capacitor.

Mitigating EMF comes with sliming your OS's running things, even drivers are stated as being as 'started' or stopped by nirsoft. Slimming the SSD would help too.

Now, technically let's say a process is sitting next to other processes in memory, well that would be holding EMF near other delicate 8nm memory cells holding your game. That is possibly mitigatable EMI right there...

Simple as that. No PhD stuff there, basic science mixed with common sense.

This is a bait topic to ignite unnecessary controversy.

EMF = Electromagnetic Fields
EMI = Electromagnetic Interference

The OP is technically correct but cherrypicks and doesn't properly explain.
Every transitor and every circuit pathway on a electronics board or silicon chip, is behaving on the electromagnetic-field principles where electrons flow because of a field imbalance (like the positive/negative polarities of a power supply). An electrical called "electricity". Electricity exists because of EMF imbalance, duh, duh, duh! It's called "positive polarity" and "negative polarity" (and the strength of the electromagnetic field is called "voltage"), and electricity flows to reach an equilibrium again. There's lots of ways to explain electricity that are all different explanations, but fundmanetally, EMF is part of it, but you can't abuse EMF=EMI and armchair-scientist on this educational principle around here. That's not the approach I want here at Blur Busters.

Also, consider intensities, where the fields start to become interfering of other fields.
Like a candle versus sun.
Or a proper-functioning water pipe, versus a broken exploding dam.
Or such ridiculous magnitude and energetic differences.

But be careful of weaponizing this -- we will NOT allow this here.
Semiconductors essentially (in a roundabout way) use EMF to work, but they are literally zillons of orders of magnitude less than the EMI.

You cannot use the natural scientific EMF function of a semiconductor to claim that it's a problem -- it's when it "interferes" when the I suffix applies (EMI vs EMF), they're the same thing. EMF can be good or bad depending on context.

Like... Climate change always has been occuring but it's only at some unusually accelerated pace lately. Yet it's used as an excuse to handwave all of this off. Just like global warming is definitely a real problem -- yes sometimes there's record low temperatures in certain regions -- but it still averages out to a massively (100x+) faster annual temperature change 1850-2020 than pre-1850. You can see that it's pretty clearly human-accelerated rate of temperature changes compared to pre-industrialization. So this thread is like the "climate is always changing for all history" argument (technically true but neglects to acknowledge acceleration resulting from humans). Check out the bottom edge of xkcd #1732 cartoon for an example.

Therefore, this thread closed because this generally is kindling to ingnite new tinfoilhatting / conspiracy stuff.

It's not a rule violation thread, but it violates the spirit of the forum, as we do not want controversies ignited unnecessarily out of nothing.

If this was more of a glossary or scientific thread and about what normal/abnormal, and helped disambiguate, sure, I'd leave the thread open. But given our readership, it has too much potential to mis-educate the public about the science of electromagnetism and the electromagnetic spectrum.
