Looking for best monitor now for CS2
Looking for best monitor now for CS2
Hello guys,i have question for you,can someone help me pick the best possible monitor for CS2 ? Max price i can pay is 1200euro. So far i have played on 2 displays
Asus VG249qm1a from 2022(240hz oc to 270),1080p,23.8’
Acer nitro XV252qf from 2021(360hz oc to 390) with vrb,24.5’ 1080p
So far what ive seen from both ,both have their pros and cons. Asus is 23,8’ and actually playing was more enjoyable, shooting and spraying was easier since i think less pixels to track(im not tech spec so i needed to write this topic- thats what i observed,Overall good, but it started to be too slow for me and not that responsive like i wanted,so i purchased Acer xv252qf . Bigger display, 120hz faster so for me tracking is better, lower input lag to asus, but has worse colours and contrast and finally feeling. Im playing normally 1280x960 4:3 streched. On asus it looks ofcourse a bit blurry but shooting feeling was very good (like resolution scaling better matched with this display and dont havw problems with scaling. On acer these resolutions are worse scales ,so game feeling is worse and only 390hz helps this situation bcuz input lag and clarity looks good
Still its not what im looking ,and question is what can ypu guys recommend displays to cs2 ? Im looking for good quality monitor- good scaling resolutions to have good gamw feelinngs when shooting, also the lowest inpur lag, good colours and top motion clarity. Any advices. I found new MSI QD-OLED 360hz with lowest input lag, good colors ans good pixel transitioning, someone can recommend this ? Maybe there are some even better diplays that i know. Tell me pla leave comment with your opinios, which one could be the best esport cs display now
Thanks,Artur

Re: Looking for best monitor now for CS2
This is the best gaming monitor money can buy
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824281313
GLOSSY WOLED LG Panel from ASUS the ONLY Glossy WOLED monitor on earth.
Sure QD-OLED exists and it's also Glossy HOWEVER those MSI QD-OLED has TONS of input delay and also it has a purple tint in bright environments due to lack of polarizing layer.
Matte coated monitors is like pasting Vaseline smeared shit all over your monitor

Where did you get that info?
It's the fastest one on the list here:

Based on your requirements, I'd recommend considering the ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz PG259QN. It offers excellent motion clarity, low input lag, and good color accuracy. Additionally, its 1080p resolution should provide a smooth gaming experience. Have you looked into this model yet?
Re: Looking for best monitor now for CS2
Actually not, mostly i was looking at this MSI 360hz oled, because i dont trust Asus at all,and actually from what ive seen so far this MSI 360hz and Alienware 360hz oled are the best for competitive gaming. Also this sentence with big input lag seems to be not true, rtings tested both 360hz oleds and MSI only has problem with input delay on lower hz than native,on native pixels and color transitions are almost instant. My good friend has LG 240hz oled and Alienware 500hz IPS,tested them both to compare and unsuprisingly OLED is much better for him (hes playing on high level in CS2),this 240hz oled in motion clarity is comparable to 500hz IPS,but with better overall feeling, and now i understand why these panels are expensive,i heard that motion clarity on oled is comparable to 2x hz on IPS panel,so in theory 360hz oled ~ 720hz IPS in this aspect, and from what he said overall feeling(shooting/moving/strafing etc) is just better on oled. Ofcourse pros will tell you that BENQ with Dyac is the best, but they are just sticked with them since all biggest tournaments are played on BENQ,and they have benqs in home to be prepared the best for tourneys,as they dont need to switch and play on diff panels

No it has a lot of input delayy
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/ ... rx-qd-oled
Look rtings has the review, the QD-OLED from MSI has some insane input delay on anything that's not 360 HZ / 360FPS

Re: Looking for best monitor now for CS2
Ofcourse i can understand this, but as i said im playing only cs2 on free time(after sending my son to sleep
),and i have good setup that can push high fps,so im interested only on highest possible hz
7800x3d
3080ti

From what ive seen LG will in near future release their 480hz oled panel, but in smaller displays 24’ and 27’ ,maybe i will wait until it will be released and got some reviews about, since im not too much desperated to switch,im discovering possibilities
Anyway thanks for your repplies

Hi Artek, did you decide to get 240 Hz WOLED? How does it compare to XV252QF? I am thinking of this exact swap.artekprg wrote: ↑19 Jun 2024, 12:03Ofcourse i can understand this, but as i said im playing only cs2 on free time(after sending my son to sleep),and i have good setup that can push high fps,so im interested only on highest possible hz
