BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz

Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.

To be able to overclock XL2411P monitors with NEWER firmware you have to:

Open SoftMCCS in second monitor - then change Scan Mode (TV) from overscan to normal, or just switch between modes, this will work and bypass Out Of Range mode.

Could you guys create an app like OOR buster but with this method?

Would be appreciated since I don't have a second monitor to do this anymore..

Benq zowie xl 2430 (Non T)
200 hz Installled whql display drivers, nvidea grapics card, installed pixel patcher and oorbuster and works fine on dp port.
210/220 hz i get some weird looking pixels on my screen.
Have not tried dvi yet because it's already in use for a triple screen monitor setup.

Noticed that starting NVIDIA 551.76, overclocking above 220Hz is no longer possible. Wouldn't be the first time a Nvidia driver has broken something.

This is not true for me (display port, 1060).
edit: 565.90 driver did it to me too

And a side note for everyone whose monitor supports 3d vision: if your never tried it back in the day - it's awesome. Bought used glasses which needed battery change and playing Mirror's Edge was jawdropping. Movies are just ok though.

2411P with DP 1.2 limited by monitor, gpu is 1.4 - fw V013-20201204
Hello.
I got crazy over this too. I suppose you dont have the monitor anymore but I still want to ask about the EF slider. Could you accept a friend request on discord?

Hii, it's been a while... I've changed 2 monitors in the meanwhile and sadly I don't remember anything about the 2411p.
I stay away from zowie as for now, premium price for budget quality... I'm gonna try an asus 27" oled 480hz as soon as it gets shipped due to no stock, but based on the reviews oled is the way to go

I don't remember anything about the 2411p.
Don't remember who you sold it to as well? If so, no problem.

Thank you for the answer! You the only one who responded me among 7 people I tried contacting in different social media. With no luck.
I even went to a local gaming lounge only to find out they have monitors with manufacture date of 2018 (and old firmware).

Hope my cry for help touches your soul and you'll recall any info. Because the xl2411p I bought is not OCable and somehow makes Win11 24h2 to throw bsods. premium price for budget quality...

If I could only have the newest FW to get OCing and a chance to fix bsods. There is no option for me to buy a new monitor as a kid with no money.

I do remember who I sold it to but it's a kid that unlikely will answer any question.. sorry about that. Have you tried BlueScreenView?

About the firmware, take a look at this thread as someone dumped their fw of the 2411, but you'd need an mstar (that's 70$ to be optimistic) to flash it properly, otherwise there is a linux procedure but I'm not sure about the success rate.

I highly doubt that the screen may be the reason of the bsods.

If you want to keep trying with the OC, get teamviewer->set custom oc res->remote in from your phone->with softMCCS send some DDC/CI commands like brightness slider or anything else and that should do it

Yes, the program tells the cause is "ntoskrnl.exe+some offset". Offset is allways different, so cannot perform a search for that.

I'm not completely sure if it's the monitor issue and not a windows bug. But bsods started to appear since the next reboot I plugged the monitor cable in.
A clean system reinstall doesn't help. If the monitor has been connected even once, the current system becomes unstable. I think I should consider trying older win builds.

This is a clever idea! Thank you. Will try If I ever get to this part after installation of an OCable firmware.

I'd like to mention that I will share my findings somewhere on the forum for community's sake.

Successful OC in XL2411P
MCCS scan mode nomal operation is turned off with backspace on the second monitor when out of range.
Also, it is not displayed correctly at frame rates of 166 or higher.

PS: I was able to OC to 200hz by turning off AMA
